Kenna has a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. With a background in communications and expressive writing, Kenna believes that storytelling is central to the therapy process, and that clients and their experiences need to be safe, seen, and heard. In therapy, Kenna invites her clients to explore these stories — about who we are, where we’ve been, and what we’ve endured — with curiosity and non-judgment. Kenna brings a warm, steady presence to the work, rooted in the knowledge that healing happens in relationships, especially ones built on honesty and trust. She draws from person-centered, psychodynamic, and strengths-based approaches to support clients’ goals and honor their pace, while always returning back to clients’ values, autonomy, and lived experience as guiding points in the therapeutic process. Kenna has a special interest in working with clients in their late teens through adulthood, and is drawn to helping clients work through depression, periods of transition, identity exploration, stress and burnout, OCD, and BFRBs (body-focused repetitive behaviors).
